On October 10, 2006 at 10:52 p.m. my wife Sarah and I had received a phone call that every parent fears. "Brittaney has been in a bad car wreck, she is alive but is hurt real bad." Our worst fears had been realized; our 17 year old daughter was driving home one night and was not wearing her seatbelt. She had always feared being trapped in a wrecked car and being burned to death because she was wearing a seatbelt.
In quite an irony she had died trying to avoid her worst fear.
